'THE WIRE' STARS TAP FAME TO SUPPORT YOUTH

Stars of HBO's "The Wire" including Sonja Sohn, Michael Williams and Andre Royo were at the Pints and Pinstripes Party at the Silo Point penthouse in Baltimore on Saturday night to help raise money and awareness for Sohn's nonprofit organization ReWired for Change.

Williams told us that he watched Sohn build this organization, which works to empower at-risk youth through a program combining education, media and social advocacy, from the ground up and wanted to get involved.

"After doing the show 'The Wire,' and seeing the type of topics it touched on, it helped open our eyes to what was really going on on the Baltimore city streets. Sonja decided to dedicate her life, time and her money to helping the youth on the streets, and I just fell in love with the idea of what she was doing."
